DANNY BARLOW VS NIKOLAY VERETENNIKOV LOWDOWN
Danny Barlow is the clear betting favourite for this match with Nikolay Veretennikov and he will be confident of getting a ninth successive win and maintaining his 100% win ratio in MMA.
Barlow got his UFC career off to a great start last time out as he fought at UFC 298 and stopped Josh Quinlan by TKO. That will have given the welterweight a huge boost in confidence and he knows he can compete at this level.
He now faces Nikolay Veretennikov who is making his UFC himself. The Kazakh bring s a 12-4 record into this bout and he is riding a three-fight win streak from his time in the UFL.
DANNY BARLOW VS NIKOLAY VERETENNIKOV PREDICTION
Danny Barlow is a really well-rounded fighter but he is an aggressive one that will look to get the stoppage. Six of his eight fights have not gone the distance and the win on his UFC debut showed that his punching power remains even as he rises levels.
Veretennikov has only lost one of his last 12 fights and that came in the Contender Series. Now he gets a chance and he will not hold back. Nine of his 12 wins have come via KO/TKO and there is no doubt he will be a looking for a stoppage.
It seems unlikely this fight will go the distance and that in itself is worth betting. We do like Barlow however so taking him to win via KO/TKO is the preferred play.
PREDICTION: Danny Barlow to win via KO/TKO
