CLAY GUIDA VS SCOTT HOLTZMAN LOWDOWN
Fighting out of Johnsburg, Illinois, Clay Guida (37-22) will be making his 50th professional appearance this weekend. A legend of the octagon, Guida is coming off of a loss to Claudio Puelles back in April. Looking to get back in the win column, Guida will know that he hasn’t got many fights left in the gas tank.
As for his opponent this weekend, Scott Holtzman (14-5) has not been seen in the octagon for over a year now. In his last appearance, Holtzman was beaten by Mateusz Gamrot. Currently 2-3 in his last five outings, Holtzman has not won a fight since 2020 and will be looking to change that this weekend.

Heading into this weekend’s lightweight bout, Holtzman will have the edge in height, but Clay will have the reach advantage.
With this being Holtzman’s first fight in well over a year, it will be interesting to see if ring rust plays a factor. In recent times, Holtzman has struggled against persistent wrestlers, which could go against him this weekend. With that being said, he has fought some tough opponents in his last few outings. He will definitely fancy his chances against Guida. From the off, we suspect that Holtzman will look to pick Guida apart on the feet and make it a slugfest. Guida will do his best in the grappling exchanges, but Holtzman will just have enough to get the job done.
