CHRISTIAN LEROY DUNCAN VS CLAUDIO RIBEIRO LOWDOWN
Christian Leroy Duncan (9-1) arrived to the UFC with an almighty bang. The UFC clearly touted him as a future favourite placing him on a pay-per-view card on his debut and walked away with a first-round knockout. Albeit, due to Dusko Todorovic (2023) injuring his knee. He then got paired with elite striker Armen Petrosyan (2023) and suffered the first loss of his career dropping a unanimous decision. He returned five months later to fight Denis Tiuliulin (2023) and got back to his old ways reeling off a swashbuckling second-round TKO.
Claudio Ribeiro (11-4) is next up for the Brit and he is coming off another devastating knockout loss. He got knocked out on debut by Abdul Razak Alhassan (2023) who snapped a six-fight knockout streak. He replied with a win over Joseph Holmes (2023) keeping up his 100% knockout rate but then ran into another elite striker in Roman Kopylov (2023) who introduced his face to his lightening left foot.
CHRISTIAN LEROY DUNCAN VS CLAUDIO RIBEIRO PREDICTION
It is great to see these two getting matched up with fellow strikers and it has ‘Fight of the Night’ written all over it. Not only do we expect a striking battle but these two are both wild with a variety of weapons to inflict a knockout.
Duncan throws more volume and wider array of strikes. He is very creative and attacks with all eight limbs. Ribeiro relies more on his hands with his boxing experience. He hits like a truck and will keep targeting the chin.
They also have the same weaknesses and that is their defence. They both leave themselves open to get countered which makes a knockout likely. We are backing Duncan to find the chin first, but the Brazilian is the value pick as the hefty underdog.
Prediction: Duncan via KO/TKO
Value Bet: Ribeiro via KO/TKO
