Fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cheyanne Vlismas (7-2) will be making her fourth walk to the UFC octagon this weekend. Vlismas earned herself a chance to fight in the UFC following a successful stint on the Dana White’s Contender Series. Vlismas will be hoping to pick up her third win in a row against a tough opponent.
As for Vlismas’ opponent this weekend, Cory McKenna (7-2) will be desperate to pick up her second win in a row when she steps into the octagon for the third time this year. After suffering a split decision defeat to Elise Reed back in March, McKenna got back in the win column against Miranda Granger in her most recent fight.

Heading into this weekend’s strawweight bout, despite both women sharing the same height, Vlismas has a significant reach advantage.
It is fair to say that this is a tough one to call. If Vlismas can use her significant reach advantage, then she will have the capability to cause McKenna a lot of trouble. If Vlismas can keep the fight on the feet, then her striking will be enough to get the job done against McKenna. However, we suspect that McKenna’s wrestling will be enough to get the job done.
