Fighting out of Missouri, USA, Charles Johnson (11-3) will be desperate to get back inside the win column this weekend. Johnson is coming off of a decision defeat to Muhammad Mokaev back in July. Prior to the defeat to Mokaev, Johnson was riding a four-fight winning streak. Johnson will be hoping to pick up his first win in the UFC this weekend.
As for Johnson’s opponent this weekend, Zhalgas Zhumagulov (14-7) is currently enduring a tough run of form at the moment. Coming into the fight with Johnson, Zhumagulov has lost two on the bounce, coming off of a defeat to Jeff Molina. It is fair to say that Zhumagulov will need a flawless performance in order to taste victory this weekend.

Heading into this weekend’s flyweight bout, Charles Johnson will have the edge in both the height and reach departments.
When looking at Zhumagulov’s last few fights, some questionable judging has not gone in his favour and is 1-4 in his last five professional outings. Unfortunately for Zhumagulov, it does not get any better this weekend. Johnson will be a tough test as his length, wrestling and good cardio will prove to pay dividends this weekend for Johnson. From the off, we suspect that Johnson will look to dictate proceedings and get the fight to the floor early on and win a comfortable decision.
