CARLOS ULBERG VS DA UN JUNG LOWDOWN

Carlos Ulberg’s (8-1) debut knockout loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu (2021) seems like a lifetime ago now. It is crazy to think a portion of fans wrote him off after that, but he has proved them wrong stringing together four wins in a row including three knockouts. He outpointed Fabio Cherant (2022) and then put away fellow sluggers Tafon Nchukwi (2022), Nicolae Negumereanu (2022) and Ihor Potieria (2023).

Da Un Jung (14-4-1) is experiencing contrasting form coming off two losses. He started his UFC account going five fights unbeaten including a knockout over Nzechukwu (2021). However, since then he got sparked out by Dustin Jacoby (2022) and recently outpointed by Devin Clark (2023) back in February.

CARLOS ULBERG VS DA UN JUNG PREDICTION

Ulberg has collected some decent scalps, but they have been favourable matchups. If Jung decides to leave his wrestling backstage, this will be another one.

Jung is a very talented and dangerous striker however, Ulberg has the power, speed and movement to make quick work of the South Korean. He has absorbed 3.5 significant strikes per minute in the UFC and with the speed discrepancy, we can see Ulberg finding early success.

If Jung is able to close the distance and get the fight to the floor, it will be a completely different story as he is a much better grappler. That said, we are backing the takedown defence of the Kiwi to keep the fight where he wants it and land his fourth knockout in a row.

Prediction: Ulberg via KO/TKO

Value bet: Jung to win
