CARLOS MOTA VS CODY DURDEN LOWDOWN
Set to make his highly anticipated debut this weekend, Carlos Mota (8-1) has been eyeing up a chance to compete inside the UFC octagon for quite some time. Mota is stepping in on short notice following Kleydson Rodrigues’ withdrawal. Coming off of a win against Rizvan Abuev, Mota will be looking to show the UFC what he is capable of.
As for his opponent this weekend, Cody Durden (13-4-1) will be looking to upset the odds this weekend. Fighting out of Atlanta, USA, Durden is coming off of a win against JP Buys earlier this year. Looking to make it two wins in a row, Durden will be aware that he will have to put in a flawless performance to beat Mota.
CARLOS MOTA VS CODY DURDEN PREDICTION
Heading into this weekend’s flyweight bout, despite Durden having the height advantage, Mota will have an advantage in the reach department.
Even though Mota will be stepping in on short notice, he will be full of confidence heading into this weekend’s bout. Many will be wondering if Durden can take Mota consistently. Durden has shown some improvements in his stand-up game. With that being said, Mota’s power, aggression, and body attacks will have Durden on the backfoot heading into the final few rounds. We suspect that Durden will look to come out guns blazing in search of the takedown, with Mota being able to survive. From then on, the Brazilian will control the stand-up game and look for a finish.
