CAMERON SAAIMAN VS TERENCE MITCHELL LOWDOWN

Cameron Saaiman (8-0) scores his third pay-per-view card as he seeks to extend his unblemished record. He got to the dance by knocking out Josh Wang Kim (2022) on the Contender Series. He followed that up by knocking out Steven Koslow on debut which was his fourth scrap in 2022. He returned three months later to fight Mana Martinez at UFC 285 and earnt a majority decision.

He was preparing for Christian Rodriguez who had to pull out opening the door for Terence Mitchell (15-2) to make his debut. We first saw him in 2016 on The Ultimate Fighter 24 although it was an appearance to forget getting starched in the first round by Kai Kara-France. He has only fought three times since, but they were all ruthless submissions over Justin Cook (2018), Skyler Schlosser (2023) and Christian Alexander (2023).

CAMERON SAAIMAN VS TERENCE MITCHELL PREDICTION

Short notice opponents are always dangerous and Mitchell is on an 11-fight win streak finishing every fight (six knockouts and five submissions). However, they were all on the Alaskan scene which has a very suspect level of competition.

Saaiman is an exciting fighter with a lot of potential. He is an aggressive striker who can grapple and we expect him to burst out the gate and get to work. He will want to keep this on the feet and Mitchell is a slick grappler.

Saaiman is still likely to take him down at some point, but he will be risking getting tangled up. Considering the odds, Mitchell is worth a punt, but we are backing Saaiman to get the job done with his striking securing a decision at least.

Prediction: Saaiman via Decision

Value bet: Mitchell to win
