CAIO BORRALHO VS MICHAL OLEKSIEJCZUK LOWDOWN

The prospect Caio Borralho (13-1(1)) continues his ascent up the middleweight division after three UFC dubs off the back of two successful Contender Series showings. He made his debut against Gadzhi Omargadzhiev last year securing a unanimous decision and followed that up with two more unanimous decisions over fellow prospects Armen Petrosyan and Makhmud Muradov.

Michal Oleksiejczuk (18-5(1)) is 10 fights deep into his UFC career now with a record of 6-3(1) which is not bad considering most of those were against beasts up at light heavyweight. After a unanimous decision loss to Dustin Jacoby (2022) he dropped down to middleweight and strung together vintage performances knocking out Sam Alvey and Cody Brundage in the first round the same year.

CAIO BORRALHO VS MICHAL OLEKSIEJCZUK PREDICTION

The game plan should be clear for both fighters. Oleksiejczuk will try and keep the fight standing at all costs and find a home for one of his missiles whereas Borralho will try and close the distance and drag the fight to the ground.

Oleksiejczuk has the touch of death in his hands and will be a real threat from his southpaw stance, but his lack of takedown defence swing this in the Brazilian’s favour for us. Borralho is also a southpaw and is a dangerous striker, but we expect him to use his hands to set up a takedown.

An Oleksiejczuk knockout may be worth a small punt considering the odds especially if Borralho tests his ego on the feet. However, we feel the Brazilian’s grappling will suffocate the Pole and may even cinch up a late submission.
