BRAD KATONA VS GARRETT ARMFIELD LOWDOWN
After getting cut back in 2019, Brad Katona (13-2) went on a mission to get back in the UFC. He picked up four comfortable wins under the Brave FC banner before getting his second opportunity on The Ultimate Fighter. He got through to the final and won in classic Katona fashion – three decisions including Cody Gibson who he beat in the finale at UFC 292.
Garrett Armfield (9-3) could not have asked for a much tougher UFC debut, stepping up to featherweight to take on David Onama (2022) on short notice. He did well considering and his bravery was rewarded with a fight against Toshiomi Kazama (2023) in Singapore. It could not have gone better knocking the Japan native out in the first round.
BRAD KATONA VS GARRETT ARMFIELD PREDICTION
They are both decent strikers who can wrestle but we expect the majority of this to play out on the feet. Armfield is more of a knockout threat whereas Katona has better cardio and experience.
We expect these two to put on a pace with a lot of volume and it should be very competitive. As Armfield is the heavy underdog, he holds all of the value. However, we are leaning towards Katona who has the gas tank to finish stronger and his wrestling is likely to make the difference.
