ANGELA HILL VS TABATHA RICCI LOWDOWN
Angela Hill (17-13) is getting better with age as the 39-year-old has won four of her last five fights in the UFC. She won her last fight in May at UFC Fight Night 241 by submitting Luana Pinheiro and is high on confidence coming into this fight.
She meets Tabatha Ricci who is also Brazilian but ten years her junior and she brings a 10-2 record into this fight in the women’s strawweight division.
Ricci comes off a split decision win over Tecia Pennington in May and she has won five of her last six bouts. Ricci is ranked number 11 in the division, while Hill is ranked at number nine, so there is plenty at stake in this fight.
ANGELA HILL VS TABATHA RICCI PREDICTION
This clash in the women’s strawweight division is one of the most even on paper of the whole card at UFC Vegas 96 at the Apex.
Tabatha Ricci is a really tough competitor and is working her way up the strawweight division rankings. She currently sits at 11 but a win here will catapult her into the top ten. She must overcome Hill though and that will be no easy feat.
Hill is incredibly durable herself and has only been stopped twice in her 30-fight pro career and those were both submissions. 22 of her 30 bouts have gone to the scorecards and there is every chance that this will go the distance.
We marginally prefer the youth of Ricci but you can never discount Hill and she will push Ricci all the way. Our play however is on the fight to go the distance.
