ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ VS RENATO MOICANO LOWDOWN
Currently, 3-2 in his last five professional outings, Alexander Hernandez (13-4) will be itching to add some consistency into his game. Prior to his defeat against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, Hernandez was on an eight-fight win streak. However, since the Cerrone fight, it hasn’t been plain sailing. Therefore, Hernandez is aiming to make it two wins on the bounce this weekend.
In recent times, Moicano (15-4-1) has faced some tough competition. Like Hernandez, Moicano is also 3-2 in his last five fights and is coming off of a win against Jai Herbert back in June of 2021. Since moving up to lightweight, the Brazilian is hoping that he can push up the rankings and become a contender in this stacked division.
ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ VS RENATO MOICANO PREDICTION
This is a great matchup on paper. Heading into this weekend’s lightweight clash, Renato Moicano is the slight favourite. From the get-go, Hernandez has to chase the early knockout. Otherwise, it could be a long night at the office for ‘The Great.’ Wherever the fight goes, it’s fair to say that Moicano has Hernandez’s number. The Brazilian will be looking to keep it technical on the feet whilst mixing in some takedowns.
Prediction: Renato Moicano via Decision
Value Bet: Renato Moicano via submission
