ABDUL RAZAK ALHASSAN VS CODY BRUNDAGE LOWDOWN

Abdul Razak Alhassan (12-6) has only won twice in his last seven fights. They were vintage knockouts head kicking Alessio Di Chirico (2021) out of the first round and smoking Claudio Ribeiro (2023) with his nuclear right hand in the second round. He lost a split decision to Joaquin Buckley (2022) in between those performances and is coming off a humbling submission loss to Joe Pyfer last year at UFC Fight Night 229.

Cody Brundage (10-8) is also coming off a submission loss to a prospect. He got handed the rising star Bo Nickal (2024) at UFC 300 and although it was not competitive, he at least got to bag some juicy pay-per-view points. That loss came after his unforgettable slam knockout and ‘Performance of the Night’ over Zachary Reese (2023) at UFC on ESPN 52 and now sits on a precarious UFC record of 4-5.

ABDUL RAZAK ALHASSAN VS CODY BRUNDAGE PREDICTION

Considering their consistency and fight IQ, this is very hard to predict. Getting fed to killer prospects in their last outings would not have done much for their confidence but when they do fight with confidence, they are capable of blowing most middleweights out the water.

They are both explosive with knockout power on the feet and powerful grapplers. Brundage is a high-quality wrestler whereas Alhassan is a judo black belt. That said, we can see them simply slugging it out on the feet.

We can see them both head hunting which will create fireworks for as long as it lasts. Whoever mixes in their strikes with grappling can shut the other man down which is more likely to be Brundage. However, as soon as they start exchanging, we can see both strategies going out of the window, if there is one.

Brundage can take the fight away from Alhassan with his wrestling and makes a lot of sense as the underdog. That said, if they both start swinging, either man will fall.

Prediction: Brundage via KO/TKO

Value Bet: Brundage to win
