MATEUSZ REBECKI: POLE COMING OFF FIRST DEFEAT IN LAST 17 MMA BOUTS
After a stunning 16-fight winning streak, Poland’s Mateusz Rebecki (19-2) will be desperate to bounce back from just the second loss of his 21-fight professional MMA career. He suffered a TKO loss at the hands of Diego Ferreira back in May at UFC on ESPN 56 and it will be interesting to see how he comes back from that. He had been knocked out once before all the way back in 2014 by Pawel Kielek and he then reeled off 16 wins in a row. He needs to get back on track here and will be desperate to do so.
MYKTYBEK OROLBAI: 8-FIGHT WIN STREAK FOR KYRGYZ STAR
Myktybek Orolbai (13-1-1) is on a tear and after joining the UFC late last year, he has won back-to-back fights in the Octagon to extend his winning streak to eight. The Kyrgyz star has a multitude of ways to win fights and is equally dangerous on his feet or on the ground. His only loss came via decision back December 2020 and he will be keen to kick on and extend this winning run.
MATEUSZ REBECKI VS MYKTYBEK OROLBAI PREDICTION
This is a really interesting bout between relative newcomers in the UFC’s lightweight division between Mateusz Rebecki and Myktybek Orolbai.
Rebecki is coming off just the second loss of his career and he has been handed a really tough comeback fight against a surging Myktybek Orolbai.
Orolbai is an incredibly dangerous fighter who is an incredibly tough fighter with exceptional strength. He will look to dominate the grappling game with Rebecki and control the fight which will be really interesting to see if he can. Rebecki is strong and as game as they come so who wins that wrestling battle will very likely emerge victorious.
We favour the Kyrgyz man coming into this fight. He has great belief in himself and after Rebecki was knockout last time out, that could also be a factor in his favour. Whether he gets a stoppage, we are unsure, but we do like him to win and most likely on the scorecards.
