KEVIN JOUSSET: FRENCH WELTERWEIGHT EYEING SIX SUCCESSIVE VICTORY

After building his professional MMA career in Australia, Kevin Jousset made his UFC debut in September 2023 at UFC293 in Sydney where he earned a first round win over Kiefer Crosbie. He followed that up with a unanimous decision victory in December as he overcame Song Kenan to claim his fifth successive win. With plenty of momentum behind him, he will relish the opportunity to fight in his native France and extend his winning streak.

BRYAN BATTLE: THE BUTCHER LOOKS TO UPSET LOCAL FAVOURITE

American welterweight Brian Battle is coming off a no contest at UFC Fight Night 239 where his bout with Ange Loosa was called off due to an accidental eye poke. The 30-year-old brings a 10-2-0 (with one no contest) into this fight and he will look to regain some momentum after he won his two previous bouts prior to that no contest.

KEVIN JOUSSET VS BRYAN BATTLE PREDICTION

There is little to divide these two fighters when looking at their resumes. We do however have a preference for Brian ‘the butcher’ Battle.

The American has a really good all-round skill set with five wins come in via submission, three knockouts, and two via decision. He has managed to find different ways to win his bouts and is strong in all facets of the sport to counter his opponents’ skills.

Jousset is a talented fighter and arguably has more momentum behind him with five wins in a row. He has good stamina and a reasonable degree of knockout power.

We just prefer Battle’s greater experience and all-round skillset edge this fight but we do see this going the distance.

PREDICTION: BRYAN BATTLE TO WIN
