DANIEL RODRIGUEZ: D-ROD STUCK IN THREE-FIGHT LOSING SLUMP
37-year-old Daniel Rodriguez (17-5) has lost his last three fights and while he has faced good quality opponents, that has to be a big concern for him. Neil Magny submitted him, Ian Machado Garry TKO’d him while Kelvin Gastelum got the decision win. Prior to this skid, Rodriguez was 17-2 and moving up the rankings in the middleweight division. He now looks to get back to winning ways and he will see Morono as the perfect opponent to do that against.
ALEX MORONO: VET LOOKING FOR 25TH PRO MMA WIN
34-year-old Alex Morono (24-10 with one no contest) is alternating between win-loss-win-loss-win-loss over his last six fights and he will be keen to bounce back here. He lost to Niko Price on the scorecards at UFC 302 and now he returns to action against Rodriguez aiming or his 25th fight in his professional MMA career.
DANIEL RODRIGUEZ VS ALEX MORONO PREDICTION
Daniel Rodriguez was making waves in the middleweight division but after losing his last three fights, he is now battling to stay relevant. He faces Alex Morono and this should be a good fight to get him back to winning ways.
While Rodriguez has lost to some quality operators, Morono’s only wins since 2022 have come against the likes of Tim Means and Court McGee – two veterans whose careers are coming to an end.
It is never easy backing somebody on a three-fight skid, but Rodriguez is worth backing here as he should put an end to this losing run.
PREDICTION: DANIEL RODRIGUEZ TO WIN
