DANIEL ARGUETA: DETERMINED DAN WITHOUT A WIN IN THREE

It has been a funny old start to Dan Argueta’s (9-2 with two no contests) UFC career as his five fights since entering the organisation just over two years ago have been full of bizarre moments. He has had two no contests due to one premature stoppage and another decision loss being overturned due to his opponent testing positive. He has however only won one of the five and he comes off a submission loss at the hands of Jean Matsumoto back in April.

CODY HADDON: CONTENDER GRADUATE LOOKING TO MAKE IMPACT

26-year-old Australian Cody Haddon (7-1) is getting a shot in the UFC after earning a contract thanks to his triumph in Dana White’s Contender Series. Five of his seven wins have come by knockout but he has won his last two fights via submission showing his evolving skillset. His confidence will be high coming into this and he will be desperate to take his chance on his UFC debut.

DANIEL ARGUETA VS CODY HADDON PREDICTION

Cody Haddon makes his UFC debut and he faces Dan Argueta who is in desperate need of a victory himself. It should make for a good fight but Haddon is the one who will bring good confidence and momentum into this bout. He has decent power and he has shown he has good skills on the ground also.

Argueta needs a win after just one in his five in the UFC but he is just not quite finding his feet in the organisation. His best route to victory is arguably to outwork Haddon and try get some ground control but that may be easier said that done.

We like Haddon’s chances of victory here. He has multiple ways to win and he has all the momentum between the two.

PREDICTION: CODY HADDON TO WIN
