CAMERON SMOTHERMAN: LATE REPLACEMENT WITH NOTHING TO LOSE
Kudos to Cameron Smotherman (11-4) who stepped up to take this fight with less than a week’s notice and it is fair to say The Baby-Faced Killa has nothing to lose. After losing in Dana White’s Contender Series, Smotherman has gone to Fury FC and done well there winning his last three fights. He now gets the shot he has been waiting for and will look to take it on the big stage.
JAKE HADLEY: ENGLISHMAN UNDETERRED BY OPPONENT CHANGE
Jake Hadley (11-3) is undeterred by the late change in opponent and the Birmingham, England native will seek back-to-back wins in the Octagon. He beat Caolan Loughran at UFC 304 and he will fancy his chances of improving his 3-3 record in the UFC. After coming through the Contender Series in 2021, Hadley has had his ups and down but he will aiming for some momentum now.
CAMERON SMOTHERMAN VS JAKE HADLEY PREDICTION
As with all hastily arranged bouts, it really is a stiff task for the incoming fighter to get the win but Smotherman will be incredibly motivated at this chance. This is potentially a life-changing opportunity for him and he will be desperate to take it.
This is Hadley’s third fight in six months and the Englishman will be eager to follow up his decision win over Loughran last time out. His preparation for this bout has reportedly been good and he has to be favoured to win here and we can see a late stoppage too.
