FIGHT PREDICTION

The first fight between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke was arguably one of the greatest British heavyweight fights of all time and there is every chance that this one is just as memorable.

Wardley knocked Clarke down in the fifth round but it was Clarke who finished the fight the stronger inflicting significant damage to Wardley face and nose in particular, as the judges handed out the draw.

It was a fair reflection of the fight and it really was a close encounter.

The duo now get it on again just over six months later and it will be interesting to see which fighter comes into this in the best shape. While Clarke was knocked down, it was Wardley who suffered fair damage and it is a short amount of time for him to be getting back in the ring for another gruelling fight.

These two have had very different paths to get to this stage but in many respects, it feels like they are at a similar level right now. Our marginal edge here goes to Clarke. He will have taken a lot of confidence from the way he boxed and finished the fight first time around.

While Wardley arguably has the edge in power, Clarke is the better boxer and possesses enough power to wear his opponent down. We lean to Clarke eradicating some of the errors he made in the first fight and getting the win here – either by late stoppage or points.

TIP: FRAZER CLARKE TO WIN
