FIGHT PREDICTION
Chris Eubank Jr returns to action and it is fair to say he has taken a relatively safe fight. That is no disrespect to Kamil Szeremeta, but the Pole lacks knockout power and despite being a talented boxer with a solid record, does not possess the weapons to overly trouble Eubank Jr.
He has spoken about making a statement in this fight and the fire burning inside him but this just feels like a tune-up fight for him. There is talk about what is next for him with the likes of Conor Benn being linked but he has to attend to business here first.
And he should be capable of doing that. The 35-year-old has a new promoter in Boxxer and he will be hoping that a good display here puts him on the map for future fights in Saudi Arabia too. He will fancy stopping the Pole here and he really does need the stoppage.
Szeremeta has been stopped in both of his losses and they were against world class opposition in Gennady Golovkin and Jaime Munguia. The 34-year-old has not lost any of his last seven bouts but he has drawn two of those. Eubank Jr is better than those opponents and he should be able to get the stoppage win although it may take a bit longer than he would like.
