AUSTIN HUBBARD: THUD SEEKS BACK-TO-BACK WINS IN UFC FOR FIRST TIME

Austin Hubbard (16-7) is looking for successive wins in the UFC for the first time as he looks to follow up his unanimous decision win over Michal Figlak at UFC on ESPN: Nicolau vs Perez in April. He has achieved back-to-back outside the UFC, but never inside and that will be something he looks to fix at UFC 307.

ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ: SHORT NOTICE CALL FOR 32-YEAR-OLD

Alexander Hernandez has grabbed an opportunity at short notice to take this fight as he looks to snap a two-fight skid. The 32-year-old has lost four of his last five fights and he comes off a split decision loss in April where he also missed weight. Hernandez may very well be running out of chances in the UFC and a win here is vital.

AUSTIN HUBBARD VS ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ PREDICTION

Despite taking this fight at short notice, it is Alexander Hernandez who comes into this fight as favourite but in truth, it is difficult to have much confidence in either fighter. Hubbard has been in and out of the UFC and been unable to string together performances in the organisation. Hernandez has had some tougher fights in the organisation but has only won once in his last five fights. That came against an ageing Jim Miller but there is little to inspire confidence in Hernandez neither.

The one thing that sees us lean towards Hernandez is the fact he has fought some good fighters such as Renato Moicano. Even if he has not won many, he has competed well and he should be able to carry that into this fight and get a much-needed win.

PREDICTION: ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ TO WIN
