Mirra Andreeva vs Magdalena Frech prediction
Mirra Andreeva only converted a third of her break point opportunities but still defeated Marie Bouzkova in straight sets in her second-round match. There were some tricky holds of serve for Andreeva during the second set along with a few issues surrounding her serve as she committed seven double faults.
She still managed to find a way through without dropping a set and now takes on Magdalena Frech for a place in the round-of-16. Frech was incredibly close to a second-round exit against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, with her Spanish opponent going a set and a break up while also serving for the match at 5-4 in the second set. Frech increased her level and managed to win 5-7 7-6 6-4.
They have played just once before, earlier this year at the Australian Open in the third round, with Andreeva winning in three sets. The Pole will be a step up for Andreeva but we think the 17-year-old will improve from the last match and get it done in straight sets.
