Mirra Andreeva vs Iga Swiatek Prediction

17-year-old Mirra Andreeva has been on a tear all week in Dubai having won all three matches in straight sets and she has only lost 10 games in total across the three matches.

She faces quite a step up in quality in the quarter-finals however as she comes up against the in-form Iga Swiatek on centre court.

The Polish second seed looked good last week in Qatar before she surprisingly lost to Jelena Ostapenko and one senses she has that extra motivation this week to get another title. She has breezed through her two matches so far and the knowledge that Aryan Sabalenka has been eliminated will only serve to fire her up further.

The pair have met once before in Cincinnati last year and Swiatek won that match in three sets. It was a highly competitive match and there is every chance this one follows suit. 

Andreeva was not quite on her game last week but she is looking much sharper in Dubai. While it is hard to see her winning, expect her to push Swiatek all the way.
