Mirra Andreeva vs Ekaterina Alexandrova prediction

Mirra won the battle of the Andreeva sisters to reach the round of 16 on debut in Stuttgart after Erika was forced to retire. 

The world number seven was leading 6-2 1-0 when her older sibling called time on the encounter with a knee injury. 

It sets up a meeting with another fellow Russian, after Ekaterina Alexandrova eased past Liudmila Samsonova by a 6-3 6-3 scoreline. 

Andreeva rampaged to a 6-2 6-1 success over Alexandrova in their only other meeting on tour at Brisbane last year, where the 26-year-old was the number four seed.

Andreeva is an even tougher proposition over a year on and we expect a similar outcome, although Alexandrova may make it more competitive than in their maiden showdown.
