Miomir Kecmanovic vs Marcos Giron prediction

Miomir Kecmanovic lost a tight three-set match against Frances Tiafoe in the first-round of the Monte-Carlo Masters. The Serbian held a match point but couldn’t get it done, losing 6-2 5-7 7-6 (5). That was a blow for the player, who was looking to get his clay court season off to a winning start.

He’s desperately searching for a spark which would reignite his season, with Kecmanovic suffering a host of early defeats in tournaments since a positive showing at the Australian Open, where he beat Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets and lost out to Holger Rune in a five-set battle in the third-round.

He faces Marcos Giron in the first-round in Munich. Giron made it past Denis Shapovalov in Monte-Carlo but faced an inspired Jack Draper in the second-round, with the American being blown off the court for much of his 6-1 6-1 loss. 

There are just two places separating these two in terms of ranking, while they have never played each other on clay before. Kecmanovic does lead the head-to-head 2-0, with both wins coming at Delray Beach in 2023 and 2025. We predict a close one.
