It’s been a somewhat frustrating Premier League campaign so far for Michael van Gerwen, who has reached the semi-finals on all three nights to date but is yet to progress beyond that, with some crucial missed doubles preventing him from picking up more points.

The Dutchman has produced a high level in all of his openers though, and he will be determined to go all the way in Exeter, a feat he managed at this same venue in both 2022 and 2023.
