Melissa Mullins: Brit eager to bounce back from first pro loss
England’s Melissa Mullins (6-1) is coming off her first loss after she was TKO’d by Nora Cornolle at UFC Fight Night 240 in April. Prior to that, she had a six-fight win streak to launch her professional MMA career but she will now look to get back to winning ways. She won on her UFC debut in October 2023 with a unanimous decision win over Irina Alekseeva before her loss last time out. She will look to rekindle that form and bounce back here at the Apex on Saturday.
Klaudia Sygula: Polish talent gets a shot in the UFC after six-fight streak
Poland’s Klaudia Sygula (6-1) gets her chance in the UFC after she has won her last six bouts. She has built her record up in the regional circuits in Eastern Europe but she now has been handed a golden opportunity after she stepped in for Montserrat Rendon who was initially scheduled to face Mullins.
Melissa Mullins vs Klaudia Sygula Prediction
These two fighters in the women’s bantamweight division have identical records but have varied backgrounds and experience.
Mullins was due to face another opponent but she now meets Sygula and the 33-year-old will not be phased by that. She has experience both in and outside the Octagon on her side and having already tasted victory in the UFC, she will be eager to get back to winning ways here.
Sygula has been handed a golden opportunity and the 25-year-old Pole will look to extend her six-fight win streak.
That will not be easy against the experienced Mullins and we fully expect the Brit to just have too much savvy for the young Pole.
Prediction: Melissa Mullins to win
