Mattia Bellucci vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction

Mattia Bellucci has come through three rounds to reach this stage so the 23-year-old will be confident coming into this tough test. He has won all three matches without dropping a single set but this clash with Daniil Medvedev really does represent a major step up in quality for him.

Medvedev had a tough first-rounder against Stan Wawrinka as the Swiss veteran took the first-set tiebreak to cause Medvedev some alarm. The tall Russian responded well and won the next two sets 6-4 6-1 but he will want to avoid any drama here. 

Medvedev’s 2025 has not really gotten going yet and he will be eager to get a run this week and go deep in the tournament. We like his chances of winning here and the dropped set against Wawrinka should just focus him right from the start. Bellucci has a little momentum but it is hard to see him troubling Medvedev here.
