Matteo Berrettini did a great job in 2024 in rising up the world rankings after missing so much of 2023 due to injury. The popular Italian has started 2025 in reasonable form but he will see this event as a golden opportunity to rack up more ranking points as he sits at world number 33 right now.
He meets Tallon Griekspoor who he meets for the first time somewhat surprisingly on the ATP Tour. Both players turned pro in 2015 and are both 28-years-old as they face off for the first time here.
Griekspoor will be keen to put in a good showing in his native Netherlands and he really is one of those players that raises his performance when pride is at stake.
