Matteo Berrettini vs Jack Draper Prediction

Matteo Berrettini showed that his straight-sets win over Novak Djokovic was no fluke as he followed that up with a hard-fought win over Tallon Griekspoor on Wednesday. With just two break points generated in the entire match – both for Berrettini – he managed to take one in the last set to edge the win 7-6 6-7 6-4.

His task does not get any easier now as he returns on Thursday to take on Britain’s Jack Draper who is the eighth seed in Doha this week.

Draper eased into the quarter-finals with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Christopher O’Connell on Wednesday and the manner of that win will give him plenty of confidence. Such was Draper’s dominance, O’Connell only managed to win five points on Draper’s the serve.

Draper does not look like he has missed a step having had a few weeks out and he is looking good. Combined with the fact that his Italian opponent had a long draining tussle in the last game on court on Wednesday, we like Draper’s chances of progressing to the semis here.
