Martin Schindler vs Callan Rydz Prediction

Martin Schindler has enjoyed a breakout year in 2024 and the German number one can take plenty of confidence from two wins on the European Tour in April and September. This is the sixth appearance for the 28-year-old at Ally Pally and after being eliminated in the first round in his first three appearances, he has reached the third round on each of the last two years.

He meets Callan Rydz who was in impressive form in the first round as he destroyed Romeo Grbavac 3-0. He produced an average of 107.06 as he dominated from start to finish and that will give him plenty of confidence coming into this one. Rydz’s form can vary wildly but the version that turned up on Thursday is capable of beating anybody.

If Rydz can hit the ground running once again, he will take some stopping. We will likely know how this one will play out in the first set. If Rydz can carry momentum into this match, he could well surprise Schindler and get the win and we like him as the underdog in this one.
