Martin Lukeman vs Nitin Kumar Prediction

it has been some year for Martin Lukeman and he will come into the PDC World Championships with high hopes. His progress since 2022 has been phenomenal and it culminated this year when he reached the final of the Grand Slam of Darts before losing to Luke Littler in his first major televised final. His run to the final was all the more impressive given the fact he had to qualify for that event.

This is remarkably just his third appearance at Ally Pally and he will be keen to surpass the second round where he was eliminated in the last two years.

He meets India’s Nitin Kumar in the first round on Thursday and it is hard to see him troubling Lukeman in this one. The unranked 39-year-old has been to Ally Pally on three previous occasions and has lost in the first round 0-3 on each occasion. That result is likely on the cards in this one also as Lukeman has to be favoured to romp into the second round.
