MarQuel Mederos vs Austin Hubbard Prediction

MarQuel Mederos comes into this bout having won seven fights in a row and he grabbed a unanimous decision win over Landon Quinones last time out in February last year. The 28-year-old has earned his shot in the UFC and it will be interesting to see how far he can go as he looks a talented fighter.

He comes up against Austin Hubbard who was scheduled to face Daniel Zellhuber but he was forced to withdraw so Mederos stepped in. Hubbard has found life in his second spell in the UFC to be somewhat challenging having lost two of his three fights in the Octagon.

Both will be desperate to get a win here for different reasons but we like the momentum that Mederos is riding. He is confident and has good knockout power. If he does not get the stoppage, he has the workrate to get the decision as Hubbard is durable with a strong chin. We have to lean towards the more dangerous Mederos to get the win.

Prediction: Marquel Mederos to win by KO/TKO or decision
