Marcos Giron vs Arthur Fils Prediction
Marcos Giron is enjoying an excellent week at Indian Wells and the veteran American has already eliminated two seeds. His win against fourth-seed Casper Ruud in the second round was impressive but he followed that up nicely with another three-set win over Alexei Popyrin.
The Californian has now achieved his best-ever performance in the tournament as the only other time he reached the third round was back in 2019 when he made his first appearance in the main draw at Indian Wells. He has now reached the round of 16 and he will be hoping to go even further.
He takes on France’s Arthur Fils who is playing with some vigour this week. He has been questioned after some below-par performances so far in 2025 but he has responded well beating Gabriel Diallo and then 15th-seed Lorenzo Musetti last time out.
The pair have never met before so that only adds intrigue to the match-up but we are liking the game betting in this one. Both players are serious grafters and will battle hard here. It is hard to see either player dominating for long spells and while we just prefer Fils who has that edge to his game right now, we expect a lengthy battle here.
