MAN UTD PREVIEW: NEW ERA

It's all change at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag having departed in the wake of their defeat to West Ham last weekend. The Utd board have been quick to make their move with the highly-regarded Ruben Amorim being appointed as the next manager.

Amorim will not take the reigns until later in the month however, as he will first complete his duties at Sporting Lisbon. Ruud van Nistelrooy, who took temporary charge ahead of their eye-catching Carabao Cup win over Chelsea on Wednesday, will hold the fort until Amorim arrives on 11th November.

CHELSEA PREVIEW: LOOKING TO END THE OLD TRAFFORD HOODOO

Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend with a 2-1 victory over Newcastle, Cole Palmer scoring the winning goal early in the second half.

However, the Blues then lost to those same opponents in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and they now travel to a stadium where they haven't won in the Premier League since May 2013.

MAN UTD TEAM NEWS: SEVEN STILL LIKELY MISSING

There has been little in the way of team news so it can be assumed that the same seven players are still absent, although Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount were thought to be the closest to returning when Ten Hag was in charge.

Van Nistelrooy will be tempted to retain Manuel Ugarte in midfield after the summer signing got 90 minutes under his belt in the Carabao Cup, but Christian Eriksen could come back into the fold.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, De Ligt, Martinez, Mazraoui; Ugarte, Casemiro; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund

UNAVAILABLE: Yoro (Injured), Maguire (Injured), Shaw (Injured), Mainoo (Injured), Antony (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Malacia (Injured), Mount (Injured)

CHELSEA TEAM NEWS: SANCHO INELIGIBLE

Maresca has a near fully-fit squad at his disposal with the only key absentee being Jadon Sancho, who is ineligible to face his parent club.

Ben Chilwell, who had previoiusly been out of favour due to an off-the-field issue with Maresca, was on the bench in the Carabao Cup in what was his first squad appearance in over a month.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, James; Caicedo, Lavia; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson

UNAVAILABLE: Kellyman (Injured), Sancho (Ineligible)

MAN UTD VS CHELSEA PREDICTION

It's been over ten years since Chelsea last won in the Premier League at Old Trafford, and with the hosts likely to be fired up to perform following the unpopular Ten Hag's exit, that wait could go on.

Man Utd played with freedom midweek as they hit Leicester for five, but they are still suspect at the back so don't be surprised to see them concede here. In what could be an entertaining contest in front of a boisterous Old Trafford crowd, we're expecting a high-scoring home win.
