Man City Preview: Under pressure Pep
Despite the reported decision that Pep Guardiola is set to sign a new contract in charge of Manchester City, the Cityzens have not been boosted by that and they were annihilated by four goals to nil at the Etihad Stadium by Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
That was City’s fifth successive defeat across all competitions with that run beginning with a loss to Spurs in the EFL Cup before losing to AFC Bournemouth and Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League either side of being hammered by Sporting CP at the Jose Alvalade.
Feyenoord Preview: Frustrated Feyenoord
Over the summer, Feyenoord lost manager Arne Slot to Liverpool and replaced him with Sparta Prague’s Czech First League title winning coach Brian Riemer. The Rotterdam-based club have been a little frustrating across all competitions so far this season.
That frustrating inconsistency is perhaps best shown by their last two UEFA Champions League league phase outings as they backed up a hammering of Benfica in Lisbon by then losing to previously pointless Red Bull Salzburg by two goals to nil at De Kuip.

Rodri being out for the season due to an ACL injury has been complicated by the recent injury picked up by Croatia international Mateo Kovacic, leaving a hole in midfield with both Ruben Dias and Oscar Bobb also unavailable for the English champions at the minute.

Unavailable: Dias (Injured), Rodri (Injured), Kovacic (Injured), Bobb (Injured)
Questionable: Doku (Injured)

Man City vs Feyenoord Prediction
For the first time ever in his managerial career, Pep Guardiola has suffered five successive defeats. He isn’t under pressure for his job in the short-term but whether or not it is actually indeed the end of an era could be determined in the next couple of months. When needing a win, they are up against a fairly average Feyenoord side that have not quite yet adapted to Brian Riemer’s style of football and are also dealing with key injury absentees.
