Luke Humphries vs Thibault Tricole Prediction

It has been some year for Luke Humphries and he will look to cap the year and start 2025 where he left off last year by winning the World Championships. A win at Ally Pally would see him become he first player to pass £2m prize money.

He comes into this year’s event in better form than ever and the win at the Players Championships against Luke Littler will give him a real confidence boost coming into this year’s event.

Humphries gets his title defence under way on day one at Ally Pally and he faces Thibault Tricole who won his first-round match earlier this evening. It is hard to imagine he will pose Humphries any real issues but having played earlier in the night and that serving as a warm-up for this match, there is always a chance of catching Humphries cold.

That is highly unlikely however and while Humphries may drop a set, expect him to get into his stride quickly enough and progress to the third round.
