Luciano Darderi vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction

Luciano Darderi got through his first-round match with a tight two set victory against lucky loser Chris O’Connell. The Italian won 7-6 7-6 in a match which totalled one hour and 56 minutes. He wasn’t broken on serve throughout, though couldn’t find a way to convert either of his two break point opportunities.

Miomir Kecmanoivc also made it through a tough match against Marcos Giron, winning 6-2 6-7 7-6. The third set tiebreak was a thriller, with the Serbian eventually winning 11-9 while he also had to save two match points.

There is only one place separating these two in the world rankings, with Kecmanovic ranked 48 to Darderi at 47. They played their first match against each other earlier in the year, with Kecmanvoic winning in the first round in Hong Kong in straight sets.

Given Darderi’s ability on clay, this should prove to be a much closer match between the pair. We think the Italian is good value to make it through in three sets.
