Luca Nardi vs Marton Fucsovics Prediction

Luca Nardi was handed a lucky loser spot after he was eliminated in qualifying over the weekend but ironically he has been drawn against the man that knocked him out – Marton Fucsovics.

There was not a great deal between the two players as Fucsovics run out 7-6 6-4 winner and it ultimately came down to the Hungarian managing to get the extra break. That was the key to Fucsovics’ success as he won 32 points receiving while Nardi managed 21 as the Hungarian had far more joy returning Nardi’s serve than vice versa.

The 33-year-old comes into this tournament in good form having won the Challenger event in the Bahamas 10 days ago. He has good momentum even playing at the lower level and he will fancy his chances of following up his first win with another against Nardi.

It is a fairly unusual meeting between these two just two days after playing each other once but it is hard to see a different outcome. Nardi could well push him a little more here and we do think this could go three sets but we simply have to go with Fucsovics once again.
