Lorenzo Musetti vs Pedro Martinez Prediction

Third seed Lorenzo Musetti hit the ground running in Buenos Aires in his opening match as he coasted past Corentin Moutet 6-2 6-3 on Thursday. He was efficient in his return game as he took three of the four break points he generated and his service game was pretty solid so he knows there is plenty more to come from his side as this tournament goes on.

He will need to step it up a level as he meets Spain’s Pedro Martinez who has been in good form so far in 2025.

Martinez is coming off a comfortable 6-2 6-2 victory over Diego Schwartzman who retired from professional tennis after this tournament. Martinez showed little mercy on the veteran and was always comfortable in securing his path through to the quarters.

Martinez is a fair underdog according to the bookmakers but we think this match will be more competitive than the odds suggest. Musetti has to be favoured to get the win but we are leaning towards the overs in total games.
