One of England’s brightest prospects Lone’er Kavanagh returns to action at UFC London as he puts his 100% record on the line once again. The 25 year old was hugely explosive in earning his shot after he knocked out An Tuan Ho in Dana White’s Contender Series, But he produced an incredibly mature performance on his UFC debut in November as he picked up a unanimous decision win over Jose Ochoa.
The UFC matchmakers have matched him up against a tough Brazilian in Felipe dos Santos and it represents another step up in quality for Kavanagh. Dos Santos has lost two of his three bouts in the UFC while his only win came via split decision against Victor Altamirano. His last five fights have all gone to the scorecards and his knockout power has not followed him into the UFC.
We strongly like Kavanagh in this fight and while it is hard to see him knocking out the durable Brazilian, we can see this going the distance and him earning the decision victory.
