Lille vs Saint-Etienne Prediction

Lille were on a 21-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions before a slender 2-1 loss at Anfield against Liverpool about ten days ago. That was then followed up by a 2-1 defeat at home to Strasbourg but they returned to form with a demolition of Feyenoord in midweek. They hammered the Dutch giants by six goals to one thanks to two own goals scored by Gernot Trauner as well as strikes from Omar Sahraoui, Angel Gomes, Jonathan David and Remy Cabella. They now face a Saint-Etienne side that have been competitive and do remain outside of the bottom three and the danger zone in Ligue 1, under the management of Olivier Dall’Oglio, but they remain one of the weakest sides in France’s top-flight and Lille should come out on top, especially at home.
