Lille vs Monaco Prediction
Lille, much like last season under Paulo Fonseca, have made themselves difficult to beat under Bruno Genesio this season. The northerners had enjoyed a 21-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions before their loss to Liverpool at Anfield last month and that began a rocky patch. However, they did earn themselves a much-needed 2-0 defeat of Stade Rennais last weekend, albeit they were unconvincing, with Nabil Bentaleb scoring in his first game back after suffering a cardiac arrest last summer. They face a Monaco side that annihilated Nantes by seven goals to one at Stade Louis II last weekend with the aforementioned Biereth notching a hat-trick but Adi Hutter’s principality club were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in midweek after a 3-3 draw with Benfica at Estadio da Luz, losing 4-3 on aggregate. The Monegasque have been thrilling to watch throughout Hutter’s tenure and both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.
