Liberia vs Tunisia Prediction
Liberia, coached by former Malawi and Rapid Bucharest boss Mario Marinica, started their CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification with a defeat but have since steadied and majorly improved as they take on one of, on paper, Africa’s strongest sides, Tunisia, this week.
The Liberians managed to win just one of their four matches in qualification for the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in the autumn. However, in FIFA World Cup qualification, after losing at home to Malawi, they then managed to collect seven points from three matches against Equatorial Guinea, Namibia and Sao Tome e Principe.
Tunisia, managed by Sami Trabelsi, are looking to earn themselves a national record-equalling third successive qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The north Africans have started their campaign with three victories and a draw in their opening four matches in typically defensive fashion, scoring just six goals and not conceding in four matches.
Tunisia, as ever, are a reactive and controlling side that will be expected to get beyond Liberia but it is unlikely to be remotely enjoyable or entertaining for the neutral away from home.
Liberia vs Tunisia Tip: Tunisia to win & under 3.5 goals
