Leon Edwards vs Sean Brady Prediction
This is Leon Edwards’ first fight since he lost the UFC welterweight championship belt UFC 304 to Bilal Mohammad in July. The English star was absolutely flying before that loss beating everybody put before him and so he will rightly feel aggrieved to be coming into this fight as an underdog.
At UFC London at the O2 Arena on Saturday night, Edwards will face Sean Brady whose only loss in 18 professional MMA fights came against the mutual opponent of Edwards’ – Belal Muhammad. Muhammad TKO’d Brady at UFC 280 in October 2022 but Brady has rebounded well submitting Kelvin Gastelum and then picking up a decision over Gilbert Burns.
This is a really interesting bout between two high-level practitioners. We actually think they could cancel each other out somewhat given their attributes. Rather than this being an absolute barn burner, we can see this being an extremely tactical fight with very little to separate the two.
We have a marginal preference for Edwards given the body of his work but we can see this going the full five rounds and that is our play in this main event.
Prediction: Fight to go the distance
