Lens vs Rennes Prediction

Lens had endured five successive defeats as they slipped away from the top seven and the European spots in Ligue 1. That run of form was ended by a much-needed 1-0 victory over Olympique de Marseille at Stade Velodrome last weekend thanks to a 94th minute winning goal scored by Neil El Aynaoui. They now face a Stade Rennais side that, coached by former Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli, suffered a 4-1 loss at home to Paris Saint-Germain last weekend in a game in which PSG made eight changes to their starting eleven. Rennes will look to regroup and become defensively tighter once again as they had been of late, whilst Lens will also look to sit back a fair bit and play on the counter-attack with so many absentees. That could lead to quite a dull watch for the neutral.

Lens vs Rennes Tip: Under 3.5 goals
