Under the management of Borja Jimenez, Leganes begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places. The home team have managed just one victory in their last eight matches across all competitions since beating Atletico Madrid.
That one Lega win came a fortnight ago as they defeated capital city rivals Getafe by a goal to nil with a last gasp bicycle kick scored by Diego Garcia in a game in which nothing happened. Since then they were beaten 2-1 by Celta Vigo at Balaidos in Galicia.
Real Betis Preview: In-form Betis
Former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been blessed by an impressive winter transfer window with Real Betis as the Andalusians now try and push themselves comfortably into the top six in La Liga as well as compete well on the continent.
They were relentless in midweek as they defeated Vitoria Guimaraes by four goals to nil in Portugal in the second-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 tie. Betis have now suffered just one loss in their last eight matches across all competitions.

Leganes vs Real Betis Prediction
Borja Jimenez has tried to play an entertaining style of football with Leganes but they have often been underwhelming with a general lack of quality blunting them in the final third. They now take on a Real Betis side that travel to Butarque with an immense amount of confidence, especially with the form of the likes of Antony, Isco, Jesus Rodriguez and Cucho Hernandez. Given Leganes have home advantage, it may well be a lower scoring affair but Betis remain firm favourites.
Leganes vs Real Betis Tip: Real Betis to win & under 3.5 goals
