Leeds Rhinos Team News: Mixed team news for Brad Arthur’s men
Leeds Rhinos were dealt a significant injury blow as Andy Ackers has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a hamstring problem. They do however welcome back Matt Frawley from a knock and Tom Holroyd from suspension so their return does offset the Ackers blow somewhat.
Squad: Lachie Miller, Harry Newman, Ash Handley, Ryan Hall, Brodie Croft, Matt Frawley, Mikolaj Oledzki, Andy Ackers, Keenan Palasia, James Bentley, James McDonnell, Jarrod O’Connor, Sam Lisone, Morgan Gannon, Cooper Jenkins, Jake Connor, Tom Holroyd, Jack Sinfield, Alfie Edgell, Tom Nicholson-Watton, Riley Lumb, Ethan Clark-Wood
Wigan Warriors Team News: Huge Field question mark for Warriors
There is a major question mark over star man Jai Field coming into this game after he picked up a knock last week. The fullback was forced off with a hamstring problem against Hull FC last week in the cup and Matty Peet will have to decide whether to risk him or be cautious and leave him out. Aussie centre Adam Keighren is out for a couple of months with a knee problem so Abbas Miski comes into the 21 in the only change from last week.
Squad: Jai Field, Abbas Miski, Jake Wardle, Liam Marshall, Bevan French, Harry Smith, Luke Thompson, Junior Nsemba, Liam Farrell, Kaide Ellis, Patrick Mago, Liam Byrne, Kruise Leeming, Harvie Hill, Sam Walters, Zach Eckersley, Tom Forber, Jack Farrimond, Jacob Douglas, Harvey Makin
Leeds Rhinos vs Wigan Warriors Prediction
This match between Leeds and Wigan does not quite hold the same weight as it previously did but it still promises to be an intriguing match-up. The Rhinos are still not quite clicking into gear but they continue to have injury issues which has prevented Brad Arthur from naming his key men together. More of them are expected to line-up here including Frawley so it will be interesting to see how they look in this one.
This is probably not the match they would want to try and gell together however. Wigan may be without Field but they still possess a vast array of a quality and should simply have too much for the Rhinos.
