Josh Rock vs Rhys Griffin Prediction
Josh Rock gets his World Championship under way finally and the young Northern Irishman will fancy his chances of going far this year. It has been an impressive last couple of years for the 23-year-old and he comes into this event having won his first European Tour title this year in the Netherlands.
Rock reached the fourth round on his debut appearance in 2023 but was upset by Berry van Peer last year in the second round. He will be desperate to avoid any upsets this time around.
He meets Rhys Griffin who looked good in his first-round match with Karel Sedlacek on Saturday. He produced an average of 91.1 and comfortably dispatched the Czech player. Griffin hit an impressive eight 180s in that match and if he can maintain that kind of form, this will be a highly competitive match.
We like Rock assuming he hits the ground running but this will not be easy. Griffin showed he can score heavily and we love the total 180s. Consider over 8.5 with confidence.
Josh Rock vs Rhys Griffin Tip: Over 8.5 total 180s
