Josefine Knutsson: Unbeaten kickboxer looking to kick on UFC
Josefine Knutsson (8-0) continues to impress at the Swedish kickboxers put her unbeaten MMA record on the line here against Piera Rodriguez. After coming through Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2023, she has won both bouts in the Octagon by unanimous decision and she will be looking to follow that up here. After an outstanding kickboxing career, her transition to MMA has been seamless but this is another step up in quality for her.
Piera Rodriguez: La Fiera aiming to bounce back from consecutive losses
Piera Rodriguez (9-2) has lost her last two fights and those are the only losses on her MMA resume so it will be interesting to see how she responds. After being submitted by Gillian Robertson in April 2023, she was then disqualified for headbutting Ariane Carnelossi six months ago. The Venezuelan star will be under some pressure to retain her composure but she will be desperate to get back on the winning trail here.

This is an interesting fight to get us underway as Sweden’s Josefine Knutsson meetings Venezuela’s Piera Rodriguez.
The UFC matchmakers are pushing Knutsson by the fight to assess her levels and she keeps rising to that. They did the same with Rodriguez who followed a similar path through the Contender Series, but it showing signs of finding her level now.
Knutsson however looks like there is more to come from her and she is excellent technically. She can frustrate Rodriguez, control the fight and pick up another decision win here.
